The match between Brislington and Fry Colts was a good game of football that ended in a 3 - 3 draw. Brislington opened the scoring after 21 minutes following some tremendous play in mid field that resulted in a pass from the centre circle by Adam White to Rich Healey who shot from 20 yards out to score. 6 minutes later Brislington were 2 up when Tom Cool scored after a good passing movement left him with a clear site of goal. With 7 minutes of the half left Fry got one back with an 18 yard shot from Ian Field and in the last 5 minutes Dan Gurr, the Brislington goalkeeper, was called upon twice to make fine saves to keep the score at 2 - 1. Immediately after the interval a mix up in the Brislington defence gave Jack Gooding the chance to bring the scores level. With 15 minutes to go it was still anybody's game and Brislington created good opportunities through Clarke Taylor and White hit the post from well out. Brislington did go ahead following a penalty from Kerry Jones but within 2 minutes Dan Hemmings had hit a thunderbolt of a shot to equalise for Fry Colts. |
